Keynote /Workshop Speaker

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Nikki is a highly respected presenter and workshop facilitator on a variety of topics related to the power of the human relationship to nature and animals and its capacity to promote healing and growth. In recent years her interest has expanded to include expanding awareness of the often misunderstood dynamics of Child-To-Parent (Adult Caregiver) Violence as well as the role of hope in maintaining resiliency.

Being blessed by mentors who dedicated their lives to working with child victims of trauma inspired Nikki to study resiliency in first responders and other professionals who work "in the trenches." She finds true joy working to help them improve their capacity to remain healthy while being immersed in other people's trauma experiences on a daily basis. Whether teaching a brief assessment for Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma (aka Secondary Trauma) at a brown-bag lunch or an all-day in-service on the subject or facilitating a weekend immersion seminar, Nikki's approach gently yet firmly challenges participants to integrate nature and/or animals into their work-days.
